The Iraq-War Inquiry: a meeting of gutless wonders Nov 30, 09:09 AM

I love these public inquiries! For a student of psychopathic behaviour they are more than wonderful! It is often very clear from the outset that someone or several someones really f****d up but no one dares to say so. In the case of the Iraq inquiry my mind wonders back to 75 years ago. In 1934 a certain german corporal was not a clear and present danger to western civilisation, although is rhetoric was very promising. In 1934 the massacre of more 7 million people was still a promise and not a clear and present danger. Now think how much suffering could have been prevented by deposing this austrian painter? We never can be certain, but my guess is that a lot of misery could have been prevented, a number of proud European nations would have flourished (Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary etc.) instead of having to suffer under a totalitarian soviet joke and many more disasters could have been averted. Hitler’s intentions were evil and bad. Furthermore there was no ‘reasonable’ reasoning with him.
So back to the here and now. Weapons of mass destruction were not found, why is no one ecstatically happy about that? Instead of seeing it as a bad thing, I see it as something really positive: a cruel and evil man was stopped before he could arm himself with these gruesome weapons. Does anyone in his/her right mind really believe that Mr. Sadam would have hesitated one-second to unleash hell with weapons of mass destruction if he had had them? The man was a true psychopath with only his self-interest in mind. So backed against the wall or just for the hell of it he would have unleashed hell.
what i am hoping for is one brave person to stand up during the Iraq inquiry and say ‘Yes, we knew he did not have WMD’s yet, but we decided it was now or never. the man was pure evil, he caused immense harm to his own people, the Iranian people and many others. It is a blessing for humanity that he has gone. Do you want my list of others that I think should be deposed as well?’ Do you think there is one man/woman with the courage to stand up and be counted like that? I hope for the best but I am full prepared for the festival of the gutless wonders, proclaiming their own sainthood!
