Jon Kabot-Zinn defined Mindfulness as a means of paying attention in a particular way: On purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmental.
This involves learning how to accept what happens without becoming over involved in a negative and demanding way that life should be different. We learn how to accept our own and other people’s fallibility without suffering because of it.
In the autumn we will once again be offering a Mindfulness course. Participants will learn to use mindfulness techniques to develop peace of mind and keep psychological problems at bay.
The dates are: October: 9, 16, 23, 30 and November 6, 13, 20 and 27 (all Sundays). All sessions take place from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm. The location will be Bengeo Church Hall. Cost is £ 300 and is payable in installments.
